80. Noun + noun (a tennis ball/ a headache)
两个名词组合在一起来表示一个事务。第一个名词相当于是形容词。

有时候第一个单词以-ing形式出现。
a frying pan
a washing machine
a swimming pool
有时候不止2个名词:
I waited at the hotel reception desk.
有时候两个单词合起来写,有时候是分开写的。这个没有清楚的规则,如果你确定的话,可以全部都分开来写。

toothpaste
a weekend

a three-hour journey (not hours)
a ten-pound note (not punds)
81. -'s (your sister's name) and of ... (the name of the book)
-'s 一般用在人和动物后面。
-'s**后面可以没有名词:
This isn't my book. It's my sister's.
-'s不能和一大串单词一起用,比如
the name of the womansitting by the door.
单数的名词后面用-'s,复数的名词如果以s结尾的用(')。
my sister's room
my sisters' room (two or more sisters)
the men's changing room
-'s可以用在多个名词后面。
Jack and Karen's wedding.
-'s可以用在地理位置上。
The city's streets
可以用在时间上。
Do you still have yesterday's newspaper?
I've got a week's holiday starting on Monday.
of一般用在事物和想法等。
The temperature of the water. (不能说 water's temperature,但是可以说 the water temperature,参考Unit 80.)
还可以说 the beginning/end/middle of... / the top/bottom of ... / the front/back/side of ....
对于组织, 's和of都可以用。
